THE YEAR: 2020

Before it runs out, let me make a post here...


This year, I failed at many things but I've learnt many things too. I'll speak of two:

I learnt consistency and I learnt diligence. I'm not saying I've arrived, nope. I'm not there at all. But I'm motivated to keep at it and be more deliberate. I believe the seeds sown in secret will bear fruits publicly some day. I wish the results will come sooner but I know I have to be patient and keep doing more, so much more. In fact, I've done so little, I'm only hopeful the fruits of the little show. And I'm certain, as I add more littles to littles, it'll get bigger and bigger. We planned to be more deliberate this year. We started, we stumbled, we fell, we veered off course but know what? We'll pick the pieces where we are and continue.

2020, we were deliberate and we saw results! 2021, we will be deliberate, we'll see results. We'll keep at it until the world hears.

We'll not give up, Vie
You get discouraged, you doubt yourself, you beat yourself for not doing enough
But you've done good, you've done well... You still have a lot of work to do girl but wipe the tears! Rise up and keep on.

We'll keep getting better, we'll shake off the discouragement. We'll make adjustments. We'll shed off the weights that beset... We'll continue. We'll conquer!

Quit the comparison.
Be self motivated.
Have a focus.
Focus on it.
Continue with it.

The Client

The client in question wanted a proposal for a Noodle factory. We'd earlier gone to take measurements of the site and presented him a sketchy proposal after which he asked for more proposals and research and gave some money for it. He said he'd be travelling to China around 20 something of this month so we were supposed to give him feedback before then. This led us to a race to beat time last week. As of Thursday we still had nothing on ground and were sweating our heads out to present something before the week ran out. Finally we put something together Friday evening. It was pretty past our working hours that my colleague's husband drove us to our client's office. Lo and behold, it was closed. I was silently praying that he wouldn't be cross with us whenever we finally got hold of him because of the slight delay. SOLDIER BOY 2

And yes, your guess was close, he asked for my number quite alright, no, not a kiss (eeeuwww), he implied a future that involved a ring and making babies too(Lols!) but his condition for letting go of my hand was indeed preposterous: I'll come hang out with him at his flat somewhere around Zango later in the evening, shey I can cook?
